I know my person for Secret Santa will not see this because this individual doesn’t have a tumblr account and never bother to check the website. I decided to make a music box. I bought the wooden box from my local craft store and I ordered the DIY Kikkerland Music Box set online. The budget was set at twenty dollars. I measured how much the two rectangular holes (front and back of the box) needed to be cut out. Also I made a keyhole shape on the side to make sure the crank can stick out. My godfather from the BYA retreat helped me cut the holes out of the box. I have no experience using a drill, saw, or sandpaper. Thank goodness he did it for me. Next I used hot glue to stick the organ inside the box. With the music strips, I had to transpose two songs from its original key to the key of C. Afterward, I marked the transposed notes on the appropriate place on the strip. Not to mention, the kit came with a small hole puncher. I had to punch the notes I marked so the crank can recognize the notes in order to play the music. I will post a video soon on how the music box work with the strips.
I never knew they sold these. I now need one!
